FCC Culture Weekend |
The FCC Rochester Culture Weekend is a weekend of activities with fellow adoptive families the first weekend in August. Everyone enjoys the outdoor fun, dining together, and partaking of a multitude of family and cultural activities. |
The Culture Weekend is held on the campus of Keuka College located right on the shores of Keuka Lake in Keuka Park, NY. Keuka College has beautiful grounds and families can enjoy the use of all their facilities, including the waterfront where paddle boats, canoes, and swimming are available. Most families will stay in air conditioned rooms where they can relax and unwind, waking up to a perfect view of a magnificent Keuka Lake sunrise. |

Chinese New Year |

The first 25 families who register for both nights will get rooms with private baths in the air conditioned dorm (Harrington Hall). There are also 3 special handicap rooms located in that dorm. Those families registering for just Saturday night and the overflow from Harrington will be placed in the newly renovated Ball Hall, which has air conditioning and communal bathrooms. Campus is handicapped accessible. |
Again this year we will have Chinese student counselors to help with the programs throughout the weekend. A T-shirt will be designed to help mark this tenth annual culture weekend sponsored by FCC Rochester. Order them on the registration form and have them to wear during the event itself. On Friday night there will be a Sock Hop in the cafeteria with music and entertainment provided by a professional DJ. Saturday only registrations will be accepted, but not processed until July 8th if our numbers allow, as we have a limit of approximately 108 children. They will be processed in the order in which they were received. In the past all Saturday only registrations have been processed. |
